Time: 15:15 Course: Kempton
Name: Aztec Empire Advice: 2.00pt WIN (6/4 Bet365)
Form: 2141 Trainer: Andrew Balding Jockey: Oisin Murphy
Summary: Both of AZTEC EMPIRE’s wins have come from Kempton, so obviously seems to like it here.
Andrew Balding has his horses in good order at the moment, and the combination of trainer and jockey, Oisin Murphy, have a good record together. Both also have decent records in their own right at the course.
Aztec Empire likes to keep up with the pace in his races, so hopefully, Oisin can jump him out of stall 6 sharply and get him into a good position with the leaders.
After re-watching his last race, he absolutely loved the extra distance to 2m, and I don’t think the 6lbs raise from that win will stop him from going very close again.
Time: 16:57 Course: Stratford
Name: Go Steady Advice: 1.00pt win (11/4 888)
Form: 413361 Trainer: Dan Skelton Jockey: Tristan Durrell (5)
Summary: We were on GO STEADY when winning last time out at Stratford. Tristan Durrell gave Go Steady a peach of a ride to win nicely in the end.
The runner-up of that race (Animal) has come out since and won by 7 lengths.
Go Steady, has been raised 4lbs for that impressive win, but I don’t think that will be a problem, as he seemed to have more to play with.
I’m hoping the ground doesn’t get too heavy, as he does all his best running on good-to-soft and soft ground conditions.
With only 5 runners now, there doesn’t seem to be much pace in the race, so hopefully he can keep enough energy back for a strong finish.
