Summary: Chris Gordon’s yard is always one I keep an eye on whenever they have runners. They know how to train them for the win and I think that will be the case with ALTO ALTO at Plumpton on Sunday.
He drops to a Class 4 today, having won last time out in a Class 4 over 2m here back in April. He is raised 5lbs for that win, but takes a step up in trip to 2m4f for this race, which in my eyes will definitely help his chances, having finished strongly over the 2m on soft ground.
Tom Cannon takes the ride this time, and both trainer and jockey have decent records over this distance at Plumpton.
Looking through todays runners, there doesn’t seem to be much pace in the race, so I can see it being a slowly run a fair and it being picked up by a strong finisher – hopefully Alto Alto.
